Ruthie Jordan, a Wisconsin native, has been sharing her essence of
visual language and theatrical skills in various capacities, including
American Sign Language (ASL) literature, storytelling, ASL translating,
and instructing in community areas, for several years. She was a member
of the National Theatre of the Deaf from fall 2001 to spring 2004 as an
actress and instructor with the touring company.
Currently a student at
Rochester Institute of Technology in the School of Film/Animation in
Stagecraft, Ms. Jordan has also acted in many productions at the
National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) since 1999. She holds
an AOS Degree in Art & Computer Design and a Certificate in Performing
Arts from NTID. Ms. Jordan is very enthusiastic about sharing her
skills with children, animals, and people. "I am grateful to Mary
